South Korea to get 80 GB PS3

It appears that South Korea will be the first recipients of the new 80 GB PS3 configuration. According to the Sony Computer Entertainment Korea (SCEK) website, the 80 GB PS3 will go on sale June 16th and will cost approximately US$556.

Sony’s motivation is that because people in Korea had to wait for so long, they’re being rewarded an extra 20GB of space.

    OK, US$556 is still pretty steep. If only Sony would make it $399 including the Blue Ray drive, then I would consider a PS3 :) Heck, they already charging $30-$40 per Blue Ray DVD disc.

    Why don’t they just bring a whole bunch o playstation3 80gbs over to Aussie for real cheap and den people will buy dem. There that will solve da worlds problems cause if people play games then they become friends and so on den no wars cause yeah me pov pont.
